They are a clear for complete curing (especially for sculpting whites) and wide so that you are able to close before you apply it. This ensures your forms go on straight. The guide lines allow for a more consistent shape and length. The laminate of the top of the form allows the gel to be easily removed. The adhesive under the form is strong enough not to pop off the skin while sculpting, but not too sticky so that it removes easily.
